RACE 3, SHOBDON RESULTS

RACE 1 HIGH VINNALLS, LUDLOW, 13TH JUNE  (19:15)

Screen Shot 2018-06-28 at 12.05.14

HOSTED BY LUDLOW RUNNERS

The course is a challenging ‘up and downer’ of just under 5 miles. It features hard and grassy tracks, forest roads, and a short ‘technical’ downhill section through woodland about three quarters of the way round. We worried about you all not being tired enough, so it finishes with a steady climb of about a mile. There’s no need to thank us.

FINDING THE START (From both North and South): At the Wigmore Road, travel for 3 miles uphill, passing the Whitcliffe Common and viewpoint on your way. After a sharp downhill section watch out for a sign displaying ‘Vinnalls Car Park 200 yards’. Turn right into the farm entrance immediately opposite the Vinnalls car park. We are using the field opposite the Forestry Commission car park for parking so we don’t monopolise the car park itself. The land owners have kindly consented to this, but have requested a donation to the local church. Please therefore be ready to make a £1 donation for parking.

POSTCODE; SY8 2HE

Screen Shot 2018-06-05 at 10.51.53

HOSTED BY CROFT AMBREY RC

The postcode for the race venue is HR6 9LZ, but you are probably better off just using signs pointing you to the race HQ from the B4362 when you near the village. If you are approaching from the west your sat nav will try to take you up a drive which is blocked by electronically operated gates and bollards. screen-shot-2018-07-12-at-16-26-17.png

*** PLEASE PARK AS INDICATED BY THE PARKING MARSHALLS & CAR SHARE IF POSSIBLE ***

PLEASE BRING YOUR NUMBERS FROM RACE 1 AS THEY LAST THE FULL SERIES.

The course will be slightly shorter this year, missing out the short woodland climb in the arboretum, due to fallen trees.
