Last night was the final race of the Herefordshire & Borders Summer Off-road League, in the overall series the Couriers ‘A Team’ finished 4th in the club standings just behind Ludlow Runners in 3rd, our ‘B team’ finished in 6th and our ‘C team’ in 11th.
We celebrated plenty of age category awards, we saw wins for Matt James, Dave Williams and Steve Herrington. Scott Kennedy & Ellie Smithers picked age category Silvers with Christina Plant, Clare Mallender, Dan Spear and Martin Carter bagging some well deserved bronzes!
In the Couriers cup’s Ryan Knight had a great run of races to win the David Preece Cup ahead of Ryan Lawrence & Will Morris in 2nd and 3rd.
The Alison Cooke Cup went right down to the last race with Ellie Smithers taking victory by one point in the last race over Christina Plant, Laura Hands completed a strong set of races to finish 3rd.
Well done to all of our winners and to those who got involved, on we go to the winter league!
