Weekend Racing Roundup.

Couriers we’re out in numbers over the weekend making the most of the sunshine getting plenty of miles under their belts, a great way to warm up for the upcoming cross country league.

Screen Shot 2018-06-11 at 22.40.21Will Maul had a busy Saturday & Sunday taking part in the Race to the Tower, 2 Marathons in 2 days, an incredible achievement recording 4:29:19 on day one & 4:43:04 on day 2 to finish in 3rd place overall.

Kev Barnes took on Man versus Horse, Running 3rd leg of the team race. where runners compete against riders on horseback.


10 Red Vests were on display at the Magic Roundabout ahilly scenic 10k run hosted by Hay Hotfooters, Matt James came runner up in the race in a superb time of 38:45, Ross Cameron had another impressive run coming in 5th place 41:57 with new recruit Darren Broady having a excellent run to be the 3rd red vest home in 47:23 (24th) Steve Herington rolled back the years and showed his experience on the hills to be the first V65 man home in 49:58 (35th) Ryan Lawrence had his first taster of off roading recorded a solid 50:07 (37th) Ben Skinner was the next Red passed the line in 51:01 (41st), Kelly Murray (Soon to be Kelly Marshall) was the first lady home in 53:00 (58th) with Lisa Ruck close behind in 53:33 (61st) also picking up the first V40 prize. Kev Barnes made it 2 races in 2 days but was missing his fly swatter 55:27 (71st) & it was great to see Izzy Axford make her Couriers debut coming home in 01:03:18 (116th)
