A number of Hereford Couriers took on the mud and the hills of Fownhope & Tintern this morning taking part in the Gord’s 6 Classic & Offa’s Orror with some great performances to report.
The Reds had a good team out for the Wye Valley Runners organised race which was approx 6.5miles along the River Wye, up onto Caplor hill before returning back to Fownhope finishing at the recreation park. The weather was great for running, all competitors were warned to be mindful the Swans & Horses before setting off! Barry Reynolds had an excellent race & came 2nd -1st vet man 45 (43.04), Ross Cameron continues to improve & had a brilliant run to come in 4th (46.45), shortly behind new club member Will Maul came in next in 7th (47.39) who was also setting a new trend of one white sock & one brown at the end 🙂 We had solid run from Richie Richards coming in 10th (49.27) with Mike Link who was upended by a mole hill, clocking place 13th (51.05) Dave Williams was not far behind in 14th (52:00) who also picked up the 1st vet man, Ben Skinner was the next red in 17th (53.05) followed by 1st vet man 65 Steve Herrington 34th in 1 hour dead.
The Couriers also picked up the male team prize congratulations to Barry, Ross & Will.

We also had Couriers at the Chepstow Harriers Offa’s Orror 20k multi-terrain race in and around Offa’s Dyke, close to the village of Tintern. We had Kerry Wathen, Clare Mallender & Kev Barnes pulling on the red vests, having to overcome plenty of mud & hills on a hard course the team put in a great effort with Kerry recording a time of 02;03;58 (84th) Kev clocked 02:10:28 (107th) & Clare bagged a time of 02:11:42 (114th)
